Dr. Susan Schwartz, D.O., F.O.C.O.O.

Dr. Schwartz uses both medical and surgical techniques to treat patients with ear, nose and throat conditions. Her interests include pediatric ear, nose and throat disorders, allergies, sinus surgery, skin problems and treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Her patient care philosophy is based on open and honest communications characterized by a commitment to personal and caring service for patients and their families. Dr. Schwartz’s office has a fully equipped audiology department for the diagnosis of hearing disorders, hearing loss, dizziness and balance problems. A graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Schwartz completed a rotating medical/surgical internship at Mt. Clemens General Hospital, Michigan. Dr. Schwartz then completed a residency at Botsford General Hospital and a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and advanced sinus surgery at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She then completed a residency in General Surgery and Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery at Botsford General Hospital, Michigan. Dr. Schwartz was fellowship trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under Mark May, MD at the Sinus Surgery and Facial Paralysis Center in Pittsburgh. She is board certified in otorhinolaryngology and oro-facial plastic surgery. In addition to belonging to numerous local, state, and national medical organizations, Dr. Schwartz has lectured and taught throughout the United States. She has received her Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Otolaryngic Allergy from the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
